Hastings Kombat Academy made the journey to Suffolk on Sunday, 12th April, to compete in the Suffolk Combat Series K1 and kickboxing event, bringing home a set of performances defined by determination, resilience, and skill.
Emilie opened the day with a fast-paced and highly competitive bout. Showcasing impressive head kicks and sharp technique, she kept the pressure on throughout, while her opponent responded with strong combinations. It was an incredibly close contest that could have gone either way, with the final decision narrowly not in her favour.
Dillion faced unexpected challenges before stepping into the ring, with a last-minute switch to K1 rules and some confusion around head shots. Despite the disruption, he quickly refocused and delivered a composed and solid performance, showing great mental strength even though the result didn’t go his way.
Zavien met a familiar opponent for the third time in what proved to be another tightly contested and hard-fought battle. It was an evenly matched fight that many felt could have been scored a draw, but once again, the decision fell just short.
Jayden delivered one of the standout performances of the day in a thrilling contest. Demonstrating determination, energy, and sharp execution throughout, he secured a well-deserved and decisive victory against a tough opponent.
Eli, one of the smaller fighters on the card, displayed incredible heart and resilience against a highly skilled opponent. Matching him with movement and determination, Eli put in a fantastic performance and, despite the loss, left the ring smiling after a great battle.
We are SO proud of everyone.
